Just an inexpensive ferry ride across the Chiemsee, lies another of Ludwig II 19th century castle. Based on (but slightly larger than) Versailles, again he was not around long enough to finish his Herrnschloss. The finished rooms are just slightly larger than the rooms that they were based on in Versailles. Most of the castle, like Neuschwanstein, was never completed.
