The Viktor and Rolf exhibit at the Kunsthalle - a Paris Haute Couture show where you can really take your time and experience the fashion world.

About Fashion as art - 30+ years of V and R.

Having trouble finding adjectives to describe this show. We thought this would be a quick in an out excuse to have a nice morning stroll and lunch in Munich. The exhibit covers their career from the early 90's to today and their out-of-this-world creative universe. Most fashion houses have the couture side and the ready-to-wear and so does V and R. Both are featured here - more couture that pret-a-porter. It was fun to guess which was which before reading the labels. The last room shows some of costumes they have designed for ballet, live shows and pop divas. The Russian Doll exhibit where a single model is dressed with multiple creations adding up to almost 70 KG was fun. As was the sketches and designs documents. Even if you were a customer at one of their shows, you would never get this experience. Wow! Enjoy this selection of photos - it was the best show I have been to in quite a while.
