A world class vacation town in the Alps.....

About Mittenwald

We got off early on Saturday and got to Mittenwald about 1000. The border town is known for violin making as you will see in the photos below. Great shops and churches plus beautiful parks are all across the town. The big Doner shop near the train station is excellent and even has smaller sizes for small appetites. Kathy had her foot therapy appointment on Friday and was not up to the full hike up to the lake, but we made as far as the base of a wonderful waterfall. The views are classic alps everywhere you look. And we were back to the house before 1600!
