Summer has finally arrived in Oberbayern! A quick hour drive took us to the Hopfen Burgruine. The hike was straight uphill with almost no flats for a rest. But the view from the top was incredible. That plus a small ruin made a great day. We topped it off with a fine lunch at the Gocklwirt - it specializes in a tasty roast chicken. Very much enjoyed and they featured an excellent town brew. It was so good, we stopped in Pfronten at the V-Markt, to pick up a half case for home....
