About Mission San Antonio de Padua

While in California for family duties, we visited our favorite California mission. Made even more impactful, as we were at San Anthony's home in Padua just a month before. Nestled in Central California near Fort Hunter Liggett, Mission San Antonio de Padua has recently finished an expensive restoration effort. Truly amazing, since it has not been subsumed by California urban sprawl it is the best way to experience mission life. The church is a quiet oasis in a hot and dusty land. You can view William Randolph Hearst's hunting lodge (now part of Army lodging on the Fort) while driving to the mission.
