About The End of an Era

Second only to the loss of my daughter Irina earlier this year, is the demise of the Oakland Athletics. From 1966 through to the 2024 season, I have always enjoyed going to A's and Raider's games in Oakland. It was a state of the art stadium in the 60's and 70's and I have seen the best in both sports there. From 00 Otto and 83 Ben Davidson to Vida Blue and Campy on the A's - I've had a magnificent ride. The game was irrelevant - we split 4 with the Mariner's. The park is now a dump staffed by a terrific crew and team who deserve a better end than this. Rode the new CalTrain electric train back to MOuntain View on the way back.
