About Padenghe Castle

Back over the Alps for a long weekend in Northern Italy. Our first stop was aborted as there was no parking available within a mile of the castle we wanted to visit. So our second choice (after a nice piadini for lunch) was Padenghe Castle. Overlooking Lake Garda, this was a really nicely preserved castle ruin with a collection of villiage buildings preserved and used as mainly housing. The views are impressive and a lot of the castle is still there. We were joined by a large group of tourists on electric bicycles..
