Oberbayern is filled with a never-ending variety of outdoor fun. This Sunday we took the train up to Mittenwald and rode the Karwendelbahn gondola up to 2444 metres. After a delay because the owners had booked a band for the day and they also had to ride up the mountain. The 45 minute wait was well worth it after seeing the scenery on the Panorama Weg. Made all the better as the band played on the sun deck the entire time we hiked. The bowl like crater funneled the music all around the hiking path just like were down at the lodge. Truly a once in a lifetime day! Great weather, great scenery and wonderful music. .
