About Cambrai and Caudry

Kathy was feeling the need for a lace adventure, so we piled into our little AYGO X and drove to Cambrai up close to the Belgian border. It has a great belfrey, a beautiful cathedral, a number of old ports and a great market. A little too large for us, so after lunch it was off to Caudry. The lace museum in this town is amazing. Not quite as formal as the St Gallen museum, but much more hands-on, personal and fun. They also set up and ran the Jacquard loom for just us as no one else was visiting that afternoon. The town itself is a good size and has an amazing town center and all the amenities we need. It is still on the list.
